Berta and her seamstresses are great at small and tricky alterations. She KNOWS fabrics and drape and tricks for taking in and letting out things. Not inexpensive but worth it!

It was a bit nerve-racking coming from out of town and finding her based on other reviews, but it couldn't have worked out better than it did. Several years ago i took a dress to a “seamstress” to be altered. She did such a bad job, she ruined the shape of the dress. The dress sat in my closet for years. Recently i decided to try again, because i really like the dress and want to wear it. Several people on Nextdoor recommended Maison de Couture. I took the dress there. Berta had to undo the seams and redesign the dress. When i went to pick up the dress, i tried it on. Berta ( perfectionist) didn’t like a minor detail and was going to have it redone. I went back the next day, tried on the dress and it fit perfectly. This is the place to go if you want expert work. ( and are willing to pay for perfection)
